The Shift is Upon Us
Q: "When they refer to a shifting what are they talking about?"
A: This is referring to a shift in consciousness, a shift of the poles and a shift in vibration... that is why it is called the Great Shift. This shift is the beginning of the preparation for what the Mayans told us would happen as the Earth Shifts into the year 2012. This magic year, which many fear, is the signpost indicating we are moving into a new energy foretold by not only the Mayans but also the Hopi, Chinese, the Bible and even a time line in the great pyramid.
The Mayans were a culture who studied the movement of the planets. They believed that 2012 marks a transit to the "yellow Sun" energy or, in their verbiage, a shift into a much higher vibration than we have ever seen before - for this is truly the Age of Aquarius.
It is going to be different. For those of you who don't like change, be prepared to be flexible. Much fear can be generated during these trying times.
Y2K
Q: "This sounds like another Y2K scare... and that obviously didn't end the world."
A: Know why? Because Y2K was a man-made problem, which was blown out of proportion. Y2K fears were based on the fact that the earliest computers were programmed with 2 digits in mind, not 4. Upon the arrival of the year 2000... the machines would simply stop working, causing the world to go back to the Dark Ages. What a marketing opportunity that created for those unscrupulous individuals who fed upon our fear.
Well, a simple software patch prevented that... Disaster gone.
The year 2012, on the other hand, is based upon the behavior of planets in space... something that we cannot control.
Media
Q: Why hasn't the media told us the truth about 2012?
A: The truth will not make them money. After all, what would happen if the media, or the government, confirmed that there's a chance of something happening? Did they tell us the truth about Roswell - NO! Did they tell us the truth about the Kennedy assassination - NO! Did they tell us the truth about 9/11 - Hell NO - so why start now.
People would stop buying cars, homes, jewelry, and furniture, cancel expensive vacations and begin to save money while buying only the necessities. The government greed can't have the 'economy' suffer like this, but... this isn't about keeping the government rich.
Setting up your own Community
Q: How do we get started forming a community in our area?
A: First come up with a mission statement like the following:
The purpose of this endeavor is to come together and share knowledge, services and resources for the benefit of all its members. We realize that we must attend to what is most essential for survival during these upcoming changes and have therefore formed a group for the benefit of all to address our own material and social welfare. We believe that planetary changes are happening and our political, economic and social environments are in serious jeopardy.
These times will demand the greatest focus on our personal, spiritual, or religious beliefs but we must not be bound by the personal beliefs or convictions of any individual but attend to the good of the whole. We expect that members of this group will have differing spiritual/religious beliefs but they will not be addressed nor condoned when reaching decisions for the betterment of the group.
Changes in the planetary environment are expected to influence failures in our electrical power grid, which will include erratic shortages in food, transportation and fuel. Weather related problems are anticipated including intensely destructive winds, expanding desertification and droughts in some areas, flooding and intense rainstorms in others. Changes in coastal environments will force many people to move inland, which may lead the group to have to protect and defend that which we have worked for and built for our survival. We know that banks & governments will falter and some will collapse. We realize that diseases, disasters, and other factors will continue to reduce human population over the coming years, thus our first obligation as a member of this group is to family, friends and then to each other.
It is understood that it will not be a matter of relying on any of the established social, political, or economic institutions or structures but will be a matter of community organization and cooperation for mutual aid and support that will get us through the next several years. We believe that gardens and produce, local game, water, seeds, food preparation and healthcare skills, to name a few, will all be of great help as will be cooperative storehouses of various materials for survival. We will have guidelines drafted and a barter system set up for the exchange of these products and services.
In short, humanity is now facing massive climate and other changes in the planetary environment. We believe that we are living the end of the old world and the beginning of something new and wonderful and would like to share this experience by helping our neighbors.
