About Us

Steve & Chris Michaels have their retreat property in Montana. They are both refugees from California (many years ago) and now operate a specialized brokerage. Steve's background is in publishing. Some consider him a levelheaded, pragmatic, and independent guy. Chris has her masters degree in psychology so neither one of them are fringe/nut cases. Both are successful business people who have been mainstream all of their lives. But being mainstream nowadays does not mean ignoring what's going on or not being prepared for hard times. In fact, they think getting prepared for the worst may be the "new" mainstream!

While many authors expound on the dangers of the upcoming upheaval, not many heed their own advice. Steve & Chris Michaels believe that tough times are ahead. They have two sources of back-up power, a diesel generator and a battery back-up system... in fact, they generate their own power using a water turbine along with a series of solar panels.

They have a greenhouse for produce, a wood-burning boiler for heating their greenhouse, house and a studio in the barn. They have plenty of food, water and survival supplies including an underground guesthouse.

Steve & Chris have been working for over 25 years preparing themselves physically and spiritually for this upcoming shift. Steve laughs and mentions that he even has his own "Air Force" as he owns an ultralight and can take off and land from his own airstrip.

They are setting up their own community in western Montana and just want to help!
